For SC students in their second year of school who are pursuing a degree in construction (construction management, construction trade certification).

Developed to assist those choosing to enter the commercial construction industry. Anyone working in, or pursuing a career within, the commercial construction industry is invited to apply.

Assembles, installs, services, and repairs air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating units used in commercial and industrial buildings.

Utilizes manual and/or CAD programs to translate design information and specification into as-builts or updated drawings.

Assembles, installs, and repairs pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems, according to specifications and plumbing codes.

Fabricates, assembles, installs, and repairs sheet metal products and equipment such as ductwork, fittings, fans, dampers and air distribution devices.

Connects South Carolina's employers and job seekers with information that will assist them with their educational, career-seeking, and hiring activities.

Important information for schools to know when planning a Mobile Workshop Visit

A supplemental resource to SC residents for two-year, public, or independent institutions. Eligible students may receive $85 per credit hour to be used toward the cost-of-tuition.

This need-based grant provides add'l financial aid to SC's neediest students. A full-time student may receive up to $2,500 annually (part-time up to $1,250) at an eligible SC public school.

Opportunity for teachers and counselors to share thoughts about the Be Pro visit -- we value your insight!

A sample lesson plan that allows students to investigate options after high school.

Intensive and complete career training programs developed for jobs in high demand. Prior experience is not required. Most programs only take a few weeks to a few months to complete.

A suggested schedule for the day of the Workshop visit. A Tour Operator will call to finalize specifics.

Scholarships Eligibility: students who are pursuing a professional field of mineral extraction or one that supports this field, OR employees of an SCAA member company who are going back to school to further their career.

A merit-based program that may be used towards the cost of attendance for up to eight terms at eligible public and independent SC colleges & universities.

Recipients can receive up to $5,000 per academic year after applying all other scholarships or grants when enrolled in identified Critical Workforce Programs.
